This position is a full – time second grade teaching position located at Driftwood Elementary School in Port Orford, OR, that starts in the 2026-2027 school year.
We seek a creative and passionate teacher who can team with colleagues and administration to ensure students move on to the third grade with a strong academic and social emotional foundation. A sense of humor, flexibility, and genuine love of working with elementary students are necessary qualities of the candidate we seek. This position requires a willingness to seek opportunities for professional growth and collaborate successfully with other teachers, instructional assistants, special education teachers, intervention personnel, administrators as well as volunteers.

In addition, a successful applicant will have the ability to keep and maintain accurate attendance, academic, and behavior records, meet deadlines set forth by the school and district administration, and preserve a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality when dealing with student, staff and/or parent information.

Teachers may transfer up to 10 years of experience.
Extracurricular opportunities may be available for high school and/or junior high school sports and activities.
The Port Orford – Langlois School District is comprised of two locations: Driftwood Elementary School, a K– 6 school located in Port Orford with a population of approximately 105 students, and Pacific High School, a 7 – 12 school located seven miles north of Port Orford and seven miles south of Langlois that houses approximately 105 students.
